The unit pictured above is a typical IBC 2000 Section 909 smoke control panel. Dampers on each floor are controlled by three position toggle switches. LED indicators associated with these switches indicate open-auto-closed-trouble (fault) conditions. Roof top fans are controlled by three position toggle switches, as are the fans for the stairwells. LED indicators associated with these switches indicate on-auto-off-trouble (fault) condition. The panel has an enable-disable key switch, lamp test function, and alarm silence key switch capability. The panel face is secured to the custom stainless steel back box with a security key lock. This is a typical arena zone smoke control unit. The arena is divided into 5 zones each may be manually controlled by a three position rotary switch (on-auto-off). LED indicators for each zone indicate alarm, trouble, system operating normally, and system off. An optional pyrotechnic smoke control capability, located at the upper right hand corner of the panel, will allow for building smoke purge. This capability may be operated manually through a three position (on-auto-off) rotary switch. Three Led indicators are used for this optional feature to indicate trouble, system operating normally, and system off.
This smoke control panel is typical of panels in compliance with the NFPA 92 Code. Fans and Dampers are controlled by three position switches with LEDs to indicate on-off or open-closed status. Manual damper control switch positions are typically open-auto-closed. Manual fan switch positions are on-auto-off. The panel has a panel enable and disable function that is controlled with a key switch. Panel status is indicated by LED indicators for panel enable, active alarm, communication fault, and equipment alarm. A manual alarm silence function is activated with a key switch.
